How to Choose the Right E-Rickshaw Motor
Power, voltage and torque - all explained
There are three things to look at when choosing an e-rickshaw motor.
Power (Watt)
For a passenger rickshaw 1000W-1200W is enough. For a loader or a hilly area, go for 1400W-1500W.
Voltage
The motor voltage must match the battery - a 48V motor on a 48V battery, 60V on 60V.
Torque
More torque means more pull on a climb. For a loader, choose a high torque motor.
Differential
33 inch and 42 inch - pick the one that suits the rickshaw chassis.
