Everything You Need to Know

The wrong charger shortens the life of a battery. Keep this in mind:

Voltage match

A 48V charger for a 48V battery - never use a charger with a higher voltage.

A current of 10-20% of the battery capacity works well. For a 100Ah battery, a 10A-20A charger.

A smart charger switches off by itself once the battery is full - so the battery is not overcharged.

Always buy a charger with a warranty; a cheap local charger ruins the battery.
